Oils: Shower Bomb with Young Living Essential Oils
Someone mentioned to me the other day about adding essential oils to their shower for their own little spa get away. Love that idea, because I really don't always have time for a bath and so it would be awesome to add some oils to my shower. Well, I dropped two drops of oil in my shower and it was amazing, but didn't last real long. Off to pinterest I go, and after "some" time, I found ideas to make shower bombs! So, yesterday, we made some congestion releasing shower bombs, because my kiddos are fighting off another bug, and I was hoping to help provide a little bit of relief for them, and we know how amazing essential oils are for inhalation therapy!
This is a super easy recipe, with ingredients I already had in the house!
What you will need:
1 and 3/4 c. of Baking Soda
5 drops of Thieves
10 drops of Peppermint
5 drops of R.C.
7 drops of Eucalyptus Globulus
1/2 c. of Water
Silicone Molds
Directions:
Start by adding the baking soda to an empty glass bowl. Add in your Young Living essential oils. For this recipe I wanted bath bombs to help ease congestion symptoms. At the bottom I will suggest other oil combinations! Stir the oils into the baking soda. Slowly add the water to the mixture, then stir. Add the mixture to silicone molds of your choice. Place in a safe place (away for kitties and kiddies) for 8 hours to let dry. Then when your shower calls for a bomb of oils, place on the floor of the shower and enjoy!
This is a super easy project to do with kids too! They can help measure, stir and scoop!!! Plus, keep an eye on them as they dry.
